Classes at Orchid English can be tailor made to suit clients’ needs: business and general English, or a combination of the two. Some students wish to improve one or more of the following: grammar, listening, reading, writing, pronunciation, Business English, discussions, international and British culture and English for socialising.

With Orchid English you can also learn English for a particular industry such as finance or the energy sector, or a particular skill such as negotiating or taking part in meetings.

If you would like to follow a book, this can be arranged. The textbooks In Company (business) and English File (general) are great as they are very comprehensive and include a great deal of interesting communicative exercises and listening tasks.

Some students require lessons based on their own documents. If you provide some examples of these in advance you can have a tailor made lesson to practise the vocabulary, skills and main themes of your work.

TOEIC is a great way to show current or future employers your level of English. You can learn exam techniques to get the best out of it, as there are some common traps students fall into like similar sounding words, or an appropriate word in the wrong context.

Group Lessons

The most cost effective way to study is in a group. If you would like group lessons, during the initial meeting I will assess the level of English of each individual and place them in a group with others of the same level.

Individual Lessons

Some students prefer more personalised lessons. This style of lesson allows you to go at your own pace and concentrate on subjects that are specific to your job or your needs.
